It is in Peraboa, a small parish in the municipality of Covilhã, that Quinta do Limite has been located for more than four decades, where the cherry is at the center of everything. For many years, the picturesque property, which extends over 2,540 hectares, witnessed only the daily labor of agricultural life carried out by the different generations – linked by the love of the land and tradition – who occupied the family home.
Gradually, the estate combined agritourism with agricultural exploration, opening its doors to those who want to settle in for a few days or just make a brief exploration of the richness of rural life and the stories that have these lands as their stage. To this end, the owners rehabilitated the country houses, which had been uninhabited for some time, adapting them to the needs and requirements of this type of tourism. Without giving up the authenticity and simplicity that make them unique, they have focused, above all, on providing a feeling of warmth to all those who visit them.
Currently, they offer seven rooms. The Casa do Camponês, with 50 square meters and capacity for four guests, is one of the farm’s highlights. With two double beds, an equipped living room, kitchen and bathroom, as well as an atmosphere that reflects rural life (through robust wooden furniture, decorative agricultural utensils and a color palette that refers to rural landscapes), it is the perfect space ideal for those looking to spend quality time with family or friends – including four-legged ones.
Other accommodation options include the Crivo / Joeira room. Inspired by the name, it features an environment where sieve, an interweaving technique that evokes intricate patterns and elegant details, is in evidence.
The Cântaro de Barro room highlights elements of traditional ceramics. Regardless of which option you choose, know that access to the saltwater pool is guaranteed.
Guests – and others – can also participate in agricultural activities, taste fresh products grown on the farm, stroll through the cherry orchard and experience the seasonal cycle that shapes the landscape.
Cherry picking, which takes place from may 18th to june 30th, is one of the most popular experiences, and will be unforgettable.
