There are places that immediately slow your pace, and Riad Botânica is one of them.
Its name couldn’t be more fitting. From sunrise to sunset, the soundtrack is nature itself. Birds sing softly in the background, creating a peaceful rhythm that wakes you gently in the morning and accompanies you into the evening. In the heart of Marrakech’s vibrant Medina, it feels like a hidden botanical sanctuary.

What makes this riad truly memorable, however, is its unmistakably feminine touch. It’s present in the thoughtful details: cotton pads, cotton buds, hair cream and all those little comforts that so often make the difference after a long day exploring the city.
It continues in the beautiful silk kaftans available for guests, their delicate prints inspired by orange trees, inviting you to embrace Moroccan elegance.
Oranges are, in fact, woven into the identity of the riad. They appear throughout the décor, bringing warmth and colour to elegant black-and-white striped cushions, rich green velvet, handcrafted lanterns, intricate wooden latticework and carefully chosen wallpapers.
Every corner feels intentionally designed, striking the perfect balance between contemporary interiors and authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
Even the vibrant cobalt-blue plunge pool feels like a jewel hidden within the courtyard.

I stayed in the Green Suite, an incredibly spacious retreat that felt more like a private apartment than a hotel room. Complete with a small kitchenette, a charming sitting area framed by traditional wooden windows and an additional bedroom with bunk beds, it’s an ideal choice for families visiting Marrakech without compromising on design or comfort.
Mornings begin around a beautifully dressed breakfast table, where every detail reflects the same care found throughout the property. Freshly baked Moroccan pancakes, homemade jams, local yoghurt, seasonal fruit and traditional pastries are served on elegant ceramics, turning breakfast into a slow ritual rather than simply the first meal of the day.

Beyond its beautiful interiors, Riad Botânica offers something increasingly rare in Marrakech: a genuine sense of calm.
It is refined without feeling formal, stylish without trying too hard, and luxurious because of the attention given to every little detail rather than through extravagance.
Beautifully designed, exceptionally well located and filled with thoughtful touches, Riad Botânica is one of those addresses that quietly stays with you long after you’ve left.
